Policy Statement

Holy Family University is committed to providing a workplace and educational environment, as well as other benefits, 项目, and activities, that are free from Discrimination, 骚扰, and Retaliation. Holy Family University has adopted the Policy Prohibiting Discrimination and 骚扰 in order to advance its goal of maintaining an environment free of Discrimination, 骚扰, and related Retaliation.

Holy Family University values and upholds the equal dignity of all members of its community and strives to balance the rights of the parties in the grievance process during what is often a difficult time for all those involved.

  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (“Section 504”)
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (the “ADA”)
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 and Age Discrimination Act of 1975
  • Pennsylvania Human Relations Act
  • Pennsylvania Fair Educational Opportunities Act
  • Other federal, state, and local laws (collectively, “civil rights laws”)

Holy Family University encourages individuals who have been affected by Discrimination, 骚扰, and/or Retaliation to promptly make a Report to Holy Family University using any of the reporting options described in its Policy. Holy Family University will respond promptly and equitably to all Reports of Discrimination, 骚扰, and/or Retaliation, and will take appropriate steps to eliminate the behavior, prevent its recurrence, and address its effects.

Policy Prohibiting Discrimination and 骚扰

Policy Application

The behavioral expectations of this Policy apply to all Holy Family University Students, 员工, 受托人, 军官, applicants for admission or employment, 志愿者, independent contractors, and other individuals participating or attempting to participate in Holy Family University’s Education Program or Activity. The behavioral expectations of this Policy further apply to any alleged Prohibited Conduct that impacts the Holy Family University community and/or Holy Family University's Education Program or Activity wherever it occurs, including on campus, 在校外, 和在线.

When the 被调查者 is a member of the Holy Family University community, a grievance process may be available regardless of the status of the Complainant, who may or may not be a member of the Holy Family University community. This community includes, but is not limited to, 学生, student organizations, 教师, administrators, 工作人员, and third parties such as guests, 游客, 志愿者, 受邀者, 和露营者. The procedures below may be applied to incidents, 与模式, and/or to the campus climate, all of which may be addressed and investigated in accordance with this policy.

The requirements and protections of this policy apply equally regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or other protected classes covered by federal or state law. All requirements and protections are equitably provided to individuals regardless of such status or status as a Complainant, 被调查者, 或见证.
